Job Opportunity
Purple Rock Inc is looking for undergraduate students, graduate students or recent grads to work with us part time or full time depending on your availability, from January through March, with an option to extend. The work will be mostly digitizing assays and drill logs from BC and/or Alberta mineral assessment reports. Strong computer skills, good work ethic, and attention to detail would be an asset.
No past co-op work experience is necessary, nor is enrolment in the co-op program. This is not a work term, it is a casual work position with no guarantee of hours.
Position: Geoscience Information Analyst
Hours: 10 to 25 hours per week (part time) or 30-40 hours per week (full time)
Start: January 2
End: March 31, with an option to extend
Location: remote
Pay: $23-30/hour, depending on experience
Requirements:
- Canadian citizenship or authorization to work in Canada
- Must have a personal computer, Microsoft Excel and mobile phone
- Minimum two years of undergrad geology
Desired skills:
- GIS experience, particularly QGIS
- Adobe Acrobat experience
- Completed 2nd year of post-secondary education
